The Global Virtual Exchange Summit 2025 aims to provide a dynamic platform for thought-provoking discussions, innovative research, and collaborative solutions that address the evolving challenges and opportunities of leadership in the 21st century. By examining key themes that shape the future of education, industry, and global engagement, we aim to foster meaningful dialogue and actionable insights that will contribute to the development of future-ready graduates and responsible global citizens. The Summit will be conducted in a hybrid mode (online and offline in Hong Kong) (time zone: HKT) and will not be requiring registration fee.

 

Summit Themes

 

[SDG 4: Quality Education]

This session will explore and discuss pedagogical strategies for integrating virtual exchange into education across disciplines. By highlighting the design and implementation of virtual exchange initiatives to promote global collaboration, participants will gain valuable insights into how these approaches can strengthen students’ intercultural competence, nurture a global mindset, and equip them with essential future-ready skills.

[SDG 4: Quality Education & SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure]

This session aims to explore the digital competencies necessary for the next generation of leaders, including the context of artificial intelligence (AI), innovative pedagogical approaches in education, digital literacy, data analytics, and ethical decision-making in a digital context. The discussion will also address the implications of AI in leadership, including its role in data-driven decision-making and the ethical considerations that arise. Additionally, it will examine how these competencies can be effectively developed through experiential learning, collaborative projects, and real-world applications.

[SDG 4: Quality Education & SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals]

This session will discuss approaches for integrating global citizenship into educational frameworks, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and shared responsibility in addressing the pressing issues that affect our interconnected world. By encouraging dialogue and innovative methods, we aim to empower participants to become proactive global citizens who inspire actionable solutions for a more equitable and sustainable future.

[SDG 3: Good Health and Wellbeing & SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities & SDG 13: Climate Action]

This session will explore virtual exchange approaches for public engagement to achieve healthier living, by furthering our understanding on the opportunities and challenges of intercultural collaborations on global issues on human health and sustainability. We aim to discuss how virtual cross-cultural experience and communications enable innovative and inclusive health and wellbeing initiatives and actions in future leaders, with an additional emphasis on the interconnectedness of human health, climate change and the environment.

[SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities & SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals]

This session will explore the practices and benefits of cross-cultural collaboration within virtual exchange programmes with a focus on industry connections. By highlighting case studies, industry-focused projects, challenges, and partnerships, participants will discover how virtual exchange initiatives can bridge cultural boundaries, foster innovation, and prepare the next generation of students to excel in a globally interconnected workforce.
